THE INVISIBLE PROBLEM
The most dangerous particles in the air are impossible to see with the naked eye. That’s why a lot of people don’t know about the health risks associated with bad air, because it's invisible. You wouldn’t eat rotten food or drink dirty water because you can see that it’s bad for you, so why settle for dirty air?
1. Respiratory diseases spread by liquid droplets that come out of the mouth and nose when a person coughs, sneezes, and sometimes, when a person talks or sings. These droplets usually land one to two metres away,
but they can land on another person if they are close by.
Diseases can spread if droplets with the virus enter the body through the eyes, nose or throat.
SO, HOW DO WE PROTECT OURSELVES?
In the public environment:
- Wear a mask with high filtering capacity.
- Keep practising social distancing.
- Wash hands with soap for more than 20 seconds.
- Check your body temperature.
- Do not attend large gatherings, and follow your governments’ guidelines.
BACTERIA & GERMS (MICROBES)
Microbes spread into the air, whether it’s by sneezing or coughing, through tiny liquid droplets filled with microbes that scatter into the air we breathe.
We can get sick by someone not covering their mouth correctly.
Microbes are transmittable when we travel by air, train, bicycle, running, or walking. Keep yourself safe with our 3S masks.
DOES A 3S MASK PROTECT ME?
Yes! With filter efficiency of more than 95% for particles 0,3 μm in size, Yes! With filter efficiency of more than 95% for particles 0,3μm in size, 3S Masks provide highly effective protection from airborne contaminants and reduces exposure to microbes, which are commonly 0.3μm - 60μm in size.
Note that the 3S mask is not certified for clinical environments, such as hospitals or allied health clinics. Wearing a 3S mask cannot fully eliminate the risk of infections, as it depends on the fit, application, and other factors
POLLUTION & SMOG
Air pollution is responsible for 1 in 9 deaths and is the single
largest environmental health crisis we face, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
The concentration of particulate matter (PM) in the air is often used as a measurement of air quality.
PM refers to small particles suspended in the air, and the size of the particles determines how far they can travel into the respiratory system.
Particles with a diameter of 10µm or less (PM10) can penetrate deep inside the lungs,
whereas fine particles with a diameter of 2.5µm or less (PM2.5) can go even further into the blood stream and spread to other organs.
Long-term exposure to PM can result in significant damage to your health.
DOES 3S MASKS PROTECT ME?
Yes! 3S Masks filter out more than 95% of particles down to 0.3μm in size. As such, our masks are highly effective at protecting against PM10, PM2.5, and even smaller particles.
The quality of the air we breathe affects our bodies in numerous ways. Filtering the air can provide you with the following important health benefits:
- Reduced allergies and asthma symptoms
- Improved health & longer life span
- Cleaner lungs
- Improved digestion
- Improved mental health & mood
